Taco Electrico holds the crown as my favorite Mexican restaurant. Fairly new, it opened about two years ago in the Union Square area. As soon as you walk in, the electric vibe hits you with signs in fluorescent LED lighting throughout the space. With an added touch of hip decor, you’re greeted with beautiful paintings of the late greats like Notorious B.I.G, Frida Kahlo, Prince and David Bowie. There’s also a DJ that plays the latest hip hop, heightening the experience! One of my favorite highlights of the restaurant is the cute section of chaired swings serving as the perfect photo opp. I usually order a classic Margarita made with Casamigos Tequila and Baja style cod fish tacos - these are the best fish tacos I’ve ever had and the drink is pretty strong in a good way, if you know what I mean! If you’re looking for a good place for dinner or drinks with friends and you love Mexican, I would highly recommend this place.
