I discovered Pegu about 7 years ago one night after dinner in search of a calm place for good craft cocktails, but intimate enough to hold deep conversation with a special someone at the time. Located on W Houston street in Soho, Pegu is one of my go-to places for a date or maybe just some serious conversation with a girlfriend. It’s a chic speakeasy that’s well known for their craft cocktails, good music and intimate lighting. They have great comfy couches if you need to cozy up with your date, and tables if you want to grab a small bite along with your drinks. Each drink on the menu is made intricately with combinations of unique, fresh ingredients and exclusive alcohol selections. I usually order the “Pisco Punch” which includes infused Brandy, grapefruit, lemon juice and lime. If you are a girly girl who loves sweet drinks with interesting notes, go for this one! Oh, it’s also garnished with the most beautiful flower to complete.
